Fighting Fire with Prayer

By Adam Guzman-Poole

Fire! Fire! The forest was on fire as my nephew ran through his imagination doing his best to extinguish the flames. But don’t worry. It was just a story, or so I thought.

It was 8.00 p.m. when I lay in the darkroom at the bedside of my 8-year-old nephew, spinning a tale of a boy on a quest to save a blazing forest.

In the story, the boy came across a great mighty lake. Humbly, the boy bowed his head and gave an offering to the water, then sang a song to ask for help. Once he did, the Spirit of the Water sprung into the sky and turned into a great black cloud that burst with rain gushing to extinguish the flames.

When I finished telling the tale, my nephew had fallen asleep.

I thought it was a good story at the time. But it didn’t end at my nephew’s bedside. Two days later my jaw dropped as I heard the news of heavy rains blanketing the Australian forest and taming the flames. It wasn’t my story that created the miracle, but I had picked up on something that was already happening. Apparently, since the fires have been raging in Australia, Wise Elders and Grandmother have been encouraging people everywhere to sing the water song.

Following there wisdom, people around the world have been singing to the water to help tame the fires and heal the forest. Inexplicably, buckets of unexpected rain have materialized and pummelled the flames.

This is the power of us coming together in prayer. Our focused thoughts and intentions have a direct effect on the universe we live in. Quantum physics knows this. And the Elders from ancient wisdom traditions know this too. I truly believe that through the power of prayer and intuitive action, we will collectively transform the world through these turbulent times. It is time to use our thoughts in a loving way and direct them to our beautiful Earth.

Prayer unifies us with the Great Power of the universe. It gives us access to an unstoppable force that has the power to accomplish all things. This force is within all of us, and we have access to it all the time.

With this in mind, I am putting a call out to all you prayer warriors and inviting you to join the movement to send daily prayers for a safe and healed Australian forest.

Alone we are a single drop, but together we are oceans.

How prayer works

Prayer is universal. But while there are thousands of ways to pray, there are certain principles gleaned from ancient traditions and the metaphysical sciences that suggest some are more effective.

Below I have referenced some of the key points:

1. Pray in the affirmative. Affirmative prayer involves connecting with the Great Spirit within and holding a positive focus on the desired outcome. Within each and every one of us is the power of the Creator, where all things are possible, and when we know that, we realize that there is no need to doubt. Rather than wishing for an outcome, affirmative prayer sees it as already being achieved. Opposed to I pray the forest will be healed. Affirmative prayer sees the forest as healed and gives thanks. Which leads to the next point.

2. Be grateful. Many Elders and Teachers speak of gratitude as one of the most powerful energies. And now quantum physics shows that our emotional thoughts are magnetic and drawback to us experiences vibrating at the same frequency. Thus if we want to create experiences that make us grateful, it’s important to connect with that energy when we are setting our intentions.

3. Have a clear vision. it’s a visual universe and our thoughts create the world we want to create. Just like it’s important to have a clear blueprint when building a house, when we are praying it’s important to have a clear intention when building the world we want to see.

4. Focus. Make sure your mind is still. Just like it would be hard to draw a great work of art if you were thinking about what you were going to do for dinner that evening if we want to send powerful prayers, it’s important that our whole being is there. Using a song, a chant, or a clear mind after meditation is a great way to harness the power of your focus and your prayers.

5. Let go and Trust. This is so important. We can trust. It’s not that hard. When we realize that there is an Invisible Force that loves us so much and is willing to do anything for us, we can rest assured, that all will be alright. All we need to do is hold that loving belief inside our hearts, and listen to the guidance that will come, follow it, and let go.

The support is always there, and it is there for us all.

May this message find you well and support you on your journey.

Finding Balance with the Moon Cycle as a Team

By Miku Lenentine

It’s just another day in the life for The Way of Vibrantly Team. Every Wednesday night we gather at the Tree House Intentional Community Space in beautiful Green Lake, Seattle, Washington. It’s 6pm in the dead of a white January winter night and we begin by gathering around a small candle, each picking up an instrument preparing to connect in the We-Space for our opening ceremony. The space has been smudged and cleared, dinner is ready and waiting on the stove, and we are all gathered on bright red cushions laid out before us. As we prepare to begin, Jordan turns to me and asks what’s going on?

I reply, “Well, it’s muffin day.”

Suddenly.

Everyone stops.

They stop what they are doing and direct their energy to me, sending waves of empathy and love.

One by one they begin to sing a familiar tune. (Listen to the Song Here!).

This is our way of honoring the women in our team when they get their Moon Cycle, and especially for the most delicate day of the cycle (which we call muffin day). River Soulshine wrote this song, and we have all learned it. It helps bring sweetness, vulnerability and humour to the Woman on her cycle, and allows us all for a moment to sit with her in the space.

In The Way of Vibrantly, when a woman is on her moon, we honor her as stepping into the Moon Goddess space, holding a tenderness, and also creating an energetic vortex, deepening everyone’s ability around her to access the psychic field. When a Moon Goddess is present at our team meetings, we know to expect things will be a little different. Emotions may be deeper.  We choose to soften our expression, and communication just a little, staying in a gentle space. Choosing to lean into what arises, and allowing.

We see this time as a moment to particularly drop into the soft, sacred, yin energies of the moon. All team-members of all gender identities (of which we have a very diverse group) share in the energies. As we mature in this space, more and more of our female bodied members share their Moon at the same time, amplifying this experience. And, consequently, more of our members who do not bleed are able to have the experience of what it is to be in the field because it is so magnified by the presence of multiple Moon Goddesses.

It is a tremendous blessing to hold eachother in this way. We still complete our agenda items, we still do our ceremony and traditions, but there is an extra element that provides insight and reflection during these times that is not always present, and we honor this. We are grateful for the chance to move in the world more closely with the flow of nature’s rhythms.

Alisa Viti, writes that “When you live in partnership with your body, you have access to an innate power to create positive change in your life and the world around you.” This is wisdom is not only profound and true at the individual level, but it is incredibly potent when applied at the scale of a business or organization. Moreover, following a women’s cycle is not just about connecting in partnership with the body, it is also in partnership with the universe and all beings on some level.

In her amazing book, Women Code, Vitti explains how different parts of a women’s cycles are more closely matched with different sets of super powers. If you can align your personal work flow, and that of your team or organization to the flow of the women, everyone benefits. On a practical note, it increases productivity, and an overall sense of wellbeing, and it also allows for ancient wisdom to begin to be collectively remembered and unforeseen insights to arise.

Any aspect of the cycle you can incorporate will deepen the experience, and increase the motivation to continue to learn. So, whether you incorporate Vitti’s patented Flow Living plan for working together, or organically explore and create your own culture of honoring as we did, any awareness, shared meaning and culture around honoring the moon is a transformational experience, and blessing!

Good luck to you, and write me at mikulenentine@wildlyvibrant.org about how it goes, I would love to hear from you!

🌱 What are your seeds for the future?

by Soniko Waira

Now more than ever, our Mother Earth needs Visionary people dreaming of the new ways for a joyful empowered future.

It’s 2020, a new year, a new decade.

I feel very excited because I see the whole world changing so fast!

My heart is filled with hope because I know we carry powerful seeds for our future.

Huyayay human being, it’s time to wake up and remember!

There’s this little-known thing called learning to be human.

Do you know what does it mean?

Everyone’s talking about visionary processes to help the individual find a purpose that gives direction to their lives, right?

We all know that you can’t be happy if you’re out of balance. But what almost no one understands about visionary processes for self-empowerment is the concept of learning to be human.

It’s not making vision boards and hoping for the best outcome that helps you create a fulfilling purposeful life, in harmony with Pachamama, it’s learning and practicing the original teachings from Mother Earth. And that can happen anywhere, even if you are living in the city within the current system, as long as you’re also living a meaningful, conscious indigenous culture.

Here’s the TRUTH!

Most people in the modern world are feeling lost, walking through life without a sense of purpose to guide them towards a meaningful fulfilling life. Why?

Because we don’t have a clear direction for our journey and feel disconnected from the natural world; and because we don’t know how to access these valuable indigenous teachings to help us gain a clear sense of identity, related to who we are as people in the world.

The good news is that these teachings that have been kept safe and alive for thousands of years by indigenous wisdom keepers of traditional cultures from all around the world, now are being shared with anyone whos ready to listen with an open heart and mind. Because this wisdom is very needed if we want to survive.

Because it’s time to remember how to thrive in this beautiful playground!

At this time, there is an emergence of magic and conscious-healing that is awakening the world, and we are realizing that the path to change starts within; by investing our heart into manifesting our dreams and by becoming active agents of transformation, co-creating together a modern indigenous tribe of people of may colours.

But it can not be done if we are still walking all alone… Remember this;

“A dream you dream alone is just a dream
A dream you dream together becomes your reality!”

Imagine What Life Would Be Like When You Manifest The Life You Envision.

Waking up every morning feeling inspired and empowered to be the best human you can be. Daring to be joyful. Serving in ways that bring you joy.

Focused on the important things that make you grow as an individual and as a community member. Monitoring your impact on others.

Feeling really good about developing, cultivating, maximizing and sharing your talents, skills, strengths and unique gifts for the world.

What are you doing when you make the biggest difference? Do more of that!

Know yourself – Bring yourself.

Knowing that your actions are planting the seeds for a harmonious future, creating your legacy. Doing what matters now!

If you still are not clear about what is your seed for the future, reflect on these questions.

WHY you came here?
How will the world be a better place because you were in it?
What lessons would you like to pass on to future generations?
How do you want to be remembered?

The answer to these questions, That’s your seed!

I believe it’s super important that we humans connect with our sacred vision to get inspired to empower ourselves to transform our lives, co-creating a beautifully harmonious experience with confidence, sharing our gifts and talents with passion.

Because we’re all here to express life and ourselves to the fullest of our potentials.

Because we’re here to 🔥 LOVE with no limits ❤️

Rhythmic Lizard Moon:: Grandmother’s Message

Rains returned to Vancouver British Columbia skyscapes, rains that soak the soils, saturate the ancient maples’ roots, rains that cleanse the Hunters’ sweatlodge fire pit, washing away the ashes remaining from six lodges in a row!  Lodges dedicated to ending cycles of violence.

Completing my assignment here at West 36th, one part of the western door of the Medicine Wheel around this 2 million plus city, I tend to the summaries of gratitudes, lessons learned, to the services offered and to the gifts received.  My heart returns to the ORIGINAL PRAYER and the vision for HEALTH for women.  Retrospection is one of my strengths, the thoroughness of turtle medicine, the depth of ancient roots.  Without this, we are not complete, healthy, wholesome, nor are we grateful.
The table upon which I write Messages for this Full Moon is of poplar wood with knots, a natural display of its wholeness.  I am reminded of the WAIVER form (no wavering form) with which we travel: “all lived experiences are a consequence of mutual agreements!”  Yikes!

Inhaling, deeply exhaling, resting in the pit of my pelvis, in this sacred womb, my ORIGINAL PRAYER was to continue to release the womb wounds of our motherline and here I am! Heart relieved of earlier distressors, seven weeks of living lifetimes with women choosing to travel through generational trauma.  Women as children, youth, partners, mothers who have stood as lone crying wolves, yearning for some kind of change!

Manifestations of unhealthy beliefs, negative images of self as woman, harmful behaviors between self others and earth: anemia and fainting, anorexia bulimia, cancers of breast and prostate in men.

Issues surfacing for the rains to wash them away: spiritual and biological starvation due to loss of mother presence and comfort, scarcity of intimacy, poverty of soul, lack of generosity, lack of trust in women, self hatred embodied with venomous languaging.  All are releases of those KNOTS in the wood or structures of our beings.
Behaviors of silenced sisters have resulted in lack of shared visions or even lack of invitation to share visions and values, lack of consciousness around decision making, lack of genuine honesty, sharing, caring, and thus, COOPERATIVITAS does not live easefully in this five bedroom home in the midst of material wealth.  Loneliness dwells here.

At one point in my Travels and visitation here for the first time in 30 years, living in a city environment, screeching wounded girl child screamed within 3 inches of my face with accusations beyond those KNOTS! Screams like those of indigeneity in the Amazon!  The Amazon rainforests are burning. Australia is burning…. Women are screaming and remembering our burning times!

What a weaving out of modernization, arising from colonization, a rendering of such deeply rooted trauma remaining in the genetics of the sisterhood!

When Travelling with a Bundle amidst such circumstances, one must develop a strong sensibility of when to take a mature time out, one must have other resources to turn to, one must know that the WORK OF TRUTH and ENDINGS CYCLES is not complete.  This common sense is the stance of the spiritual warrior who knows when to retreat!  My retreat was to ancient rocks, up to Whistler BC and my family, to the evergreens still standing without threat of logging.  My retreat was to enter into homes of mountain climbers, back country snowboarders, those whose vision is vast and encompassing mother earth’s great upheavals called mountains.

Ending cycles of violence includes this una embraza, this return to the wild heartedness of my ancestors and descendants.  IT is a mutual agreement to co-create another form of living experience! A fierce and quiet movement to stand for rather than to stand against!

The river of all lifetimes is moving swiftly now.  It is time to jump into the flowing and to be aware with whom does one jump.  If this victim clings, grasps to old images, perceptions, beliefs, behaviors, both will drown in that suicidal despair!  We are here to speak for the rivers, to swim in the oceans of consciousness, to ride the wavelengths of what is moving through our horizontal experiences with breathe !  Surrender is the password for what is leaving and YES is the welcoming for what is incoming!
This wooden table reveals the KNOTS as part of its way of existing. Not separate from. It was logged by two leggeds who had a vision, who valued this wood or standing one for its gifts and was willing to sacrifice itself to fulfill its purpose.  Like Shel Silverstein’s Giving Tree, it gave throughout ages and stages of two leggeds’ lives.

2020 begins a new decade that without our willingness to retrospect, to harvest the teachings of our mutual agreements and living experiences, what will unfold for our descendants, for our little ones, for those with whom we share this planetary form or realm ?

This Threshold requires severance, a breaking of arrows of agreements that went awry because we were coming from fear to the bow and string! We rode the horses of our will powers with doubt in our strengths and lacking confidence, we fell! Or did not hit the target of compassion.  Violence ensues.

What will we individually commit to as we return from adult time outs, or retreats into ceremonies , medicine plants, ancestral wisdom ways, and silence of vipassana?  How will we re integrate back into a weaving fraught with generational and cultural ignorance and be that ONE THREAD OR YARN that brightens up the entire fabric of our civilization?

How will we show up at the table of the forests, at the table of the hungry, those exhausted by the lies of separation from our true nature?  How will we stand with each other, not arguing for one particular right or wrong , making all selves tainted by judgments? How can our living experiences on earth change if we do not make new mutual and exponentially sizable decisions for LIFE?LIFE FOR ALL OF OUR RELATIONS?

May we begin again, as we return from the turtle shells of our retreats, to stay the course of our collective destinies.  May we stand clearly in our commitments to community and communicate from love.  May we feed our passions for five living experiences that feed the hungry amongst us.  May we be resourceful and fulfill our own primary needs.  May our hearts desires bring peace for all of our relations.  May we aspire to be our best self and when KNOTTED, swiftly forgive!  May we live by our wisest intentions so that our purposes be wildly fulfilled!

Grateful for Travels with this Bundle,Grandmother of the Turquoise Heartom vajra rekhe ah hung

Overtone Peacock Moon :: Grandmother’s message

A Time of Contrasts: the Radiant Peacock Full Moon with Jupiter’s Elephant Medicine

This time I write GMA’s MESSAGE from Alta Vista, a small circle of townhouses, 15 minutes from Whistler British Columbia. My son’s family’s new to them home for the winter of snow removal and early childhood education childcare offerings.  It is a very narrow home of three storeys, the first floor bedroom is my 3 days of this week, bedroom with memory foam on the double bed!  And my very own ensuite bathroom for a long, luxurious bath this morning!

Outdoors, the thick rich fog lays a dense blanket over Alta Lake, making Creekside, Whistler Mountain indiscernable.  There is a slowing down energy because of the fog, snowmaking continues, yet the ground is sparsely covered with less than one inch of snow.  Calmness, rather than hurry to make as many runs as possible on Blackcombe and Whistler, prevails.  For Grandmother, it is puuurfection, to sit with Golden Mylke Latte and to write.

My life is so full of generosity, of giving, of receiving, of learning to give without attachment to outcomes.  Learning to receive with a full attentive heart for all that is given.  Nature continues to gift my vision with evergreens, a prancing brown sparrow, and footprints of a black or grey squirrel on the barely snowcovered forest floor.
I have TRAVELLED with the BUNDLE since 2009 with two and half years of sojourning in Mexico prior to my return to four seasons, family estate settlings, and reunionating with both birth family and spirit family.  The latter continues to expand, inviting more and more fierce faith that all needs are met just as life presents itself.  It is a goddess sending way of living, to move according to invitations, to define agreements so that there is mutual respect, to empower ways of council, circles, lodges, offeringRites of Passage, the Sacred Wheels, and to enhance families to become more functional.
At seventy one years of youthfulness,  my employment and career path has become right livlihood! And it continues to be a supernatural unfolding in the ways of wild beauty with some times in urban homesteads with a yearning for the evergreens which are my forest understory.

This seasonal calm invites an inner migration to my ancestry, to the lineage of the Motherline, the HuukiSami people.  I am one of the ones who has remembered: the Golden Reindeer Moon Lodge and its four pillars, rebirthing love.  Without the forgetfulness of my immediate family, I may never have fully retrieved these migratory pathways and natural lust for wild rivers, snowcapped mountains, and solitude.  Each one who moved away from our Finnish language, who dropped out of our traditional pulla making for Christmas, who denied our indigeneity, openned a space for my own childlike exploration!

We are people of the woodlands, migratory souls and herdspeople.  We gather the medicines of chaga from birch, pine resin from great pines, poplar buds for salves, spruce needles for teas.  There is in our gene pool this predisposition to live between the sauna and its heat and the earth’s rivers and their coldness.  We have a seer’s capacities and in our womens lineage, most of my immediate family carry the ability to sense weather fronts moving in and storms arising.  It is felt within the hips, in the pelvic basin!

When stores are full of reindeer and red and white clothed Santa Clauses, homes preoccupied with movies about Christmas wishes, our Sami people arrive at Winter Solstice with a great original myth.  The village or clan’s shamans ate the red and white amanita mushrooms.  Inducing entheogenic visions, the reindeer were seen as capable of flight, expanding the horizons of those who became one with these antlered beings.  As an antlered clan, reindeer females also express through antlers, equally as the males.

Gifts arise as shamans and seers saturated the visions with intentions to heal family members, to keep the people well fed and clothed despite the outrageously cold tundra and barren taiga.  Hence the colours of red and white expressed as a fully fed Sami joulu pukki, or santa claus.  Ha ha ha ha HO!

How did these gifts descend to those of us born in North America?  Our family created surprise gifts for the children, hiding them throughout the house.  Notes torn into pieces were placed in our red and white stockings.  Christmas morning, tumbling downstairs, we three put puzzle pieces together and resourced our knowledge of the layout of our house , seeking the treasure. There was only ONE gift per child.  And given the hunt, that was more than sufficiently celebrated!

Preparations for our minimigratory visitations began at least 2 weeks prior to Solstice and Christmas! The smell of thin ginger wafers, the cardamon aroma’d pulla or braided coffee breads, the amazingly delectable cinnamon buns: our extended families’ homes were preciously activated to re enact this ritual annually and with great zest!  We travelled from our home to our aunties and uncles and cousins homes, bringing small gifts and our joy.  We travelled longer distances to our father’s family in Sudbury Ontario with similar joy and gifts.  At each location, there were hugs, kisses, great jovial bursts of affection, no matter what the previous months had witnessed.  It was unconditionally offered and received.

There is in all of these pathways, a forgiveness that when not present, is palpable!  I am sure that our Sami relatives offered intentions that these be offered swiftly, as swiftly as the amanita could assist in the ascension of the reindeer!  Ha ha ha ha HO!
When I retrieve my Finnish cookbook by A. Koivokungus, it contains the marks of having been put to much use.  Stains of coffee on several pages ripen the feel of strings of coffee bread dough.  My arithmetic indicates how to increase the amounts of cups of…. according to how many we would receive during theseholy days and nights.  And the greatest of all, is the inner etching on my soul.  That these traditions make me feel whole, wholesome, well, worthy of the entire treasure of this universe!  How my white pearled accordion would squeeze out polkas, waltzes and Christmas carols. And we would sing and dance and love once again…..Ha ha ha ha HO!

Hmmmmming, the fog is melting as the sunshine beyond alchemizes into another experience of weather.  My heart has imbibed much in these Finnish Sami rememberings.  My heart feels rather tipsy!  My son’s new to them family townhouse now contains these particulars, as I move towards the door, I know that I am one of the continuums!  There is a boxed ready to make GINGER BREAD house on the kitchen counter. The fridge is full of organic greens.  The cupboard contains organic soups ready to heat and share.  The Pemberton potatoes and beets are prettily bagged in the lower shelf.  Oh yes, and I hid another treasure in the lower bathroom: a lavendar embedded with rose petals bar of soap!

I LOVE my family’s treasures, the hunt, the TRAVELLING with our bundles of gifts.  Our ancient ways before christianity were solidly established for thousands of years in the northern woodlands. The capacities to sense the presence of antlered ones was preserved in my father’s own hunting and providing excursions.  The ability to be sensitive to weather shifts lives on in my hips.  The wild heartedness of my son and family, my way of living and expanding the spirit within families, keeps these pathways of the heart alive.

Thank you, for all of our relations, birth, orginal, spiritual and beyond!  May our hearts thrive in the giving and be fed by receptivity when given to.  May our treasures be hunted for with the innocence of children.  And our forests kept strong and treated as green gold. From my antlers , thirteen moons, the solar seasons and suns rays, the celestial sparkles of divine intelligence, to yours! Ha ha ha ha HO!

FOR ALL OF OUR RELATIONS!

How to Host a Turquoise Heart

by Autumn Rose

I get an email from Grandmother, saying that she is coming down island and is looking for a warm nest for a few nights on her way to Seattle as she travels with her bundle, the Turquoise Heart; the bundle of her Grandmother and her bloodline before her. The first thing that comes up is a very notable “ugggggggghhhhh”, followed slowly by a slight grin, like a jaguar’s. My resistance, and then my truth. I ask my husband what he thinks, and he laughs. He knows; it’s not the first time we’ve hosted Grandmother.

I want to get real and share some of the thoughts that were running through my mind:

“Is Gma going to judge me for how I live my life/raise my children/clean and don’t clean my house/and a bunch of other things that humans are worried about in general?”

“I’m exhausted, her field is so big, I’m not sure if I have the energy to show up in the way that I want to.”

“Is she going to judge me for using cannabis?”

“I wonder how my kids will do with her.”

“She’s gonna call me out on so much shit.”

“I’m so excited for her medicine.” And about a hundred other things, but you get the picture.

Now if you know Grandmother Kaariina, then you know she’s not just any Grandmother. She’s a beautiful and precious gem, and she can shapeshift, you see? She has this magical ability to cloak herself in teal windbreakers and sometimes a good old-fashioned fanny pack, and she has a very, very cute nose. She hops out of her Rav4, and nobody suspects that a medicine woman has entered the field. Nobody knows, and everybody knows. It’s a heightened feeling; you can sense it, but you can’t see it. Everyone in her field is a little bit more multidimensional, but they don’t know why. If you look at her, she looks like a beautiful and kind-hearted older woman. But close to her skin she wears a medicine necklace, woven by the hands of a ninth generation Ayahuasca Taita and his family, up in the misty mountains of Colombia. On her wrist, she carries a tattoo of her very roots, of ancient beings who hold great secrets in their wombs, the Great Lakes. In her car she carries her drum, her altar, her ceremonial necessities; eagle feathers and obsidian as her companions. And in her heart, she carries the truth.

When Grandmother arrived at our door, she brought the truth and so much more. I got schooooollllled, my friends. She mirrored to me my words, my mind, my projections. She showed me my blame, shame, avoidance, and anger. She helped me to access complex structures in my mind that were keeping me from the simple truth of my heart. Grandmothers have this way of taking the overwhelming, never ending snackbar of Motherhood, and breaking it down into bite size pieces. They feed you slowly, one bite at a time. They breathe, reminding you to breathe, and they bless, reminding you to bless. They remind you to chew, to be fully present to the profound act of nourishing ourselves. They ask you to feel as you swallow, and they help you to rest and digest.

Grandmother showed me a mirror of myself, and where I create and destroy my own life with my own hands, mind, and tongue. She also showed me what seventy-one years of walking this Earth can do for a person, and for the world. She reminded me what a gift this all really is, and to be in service of this gift, with every heartbeat, is the way home. Kaariina is a force, and she allowed all four of us an opportunity to step into greater alignment with our truth, and so we did. We blessed our land, and our harvest. We blessed our wounds, and we blessed our future. We did deep work together. We had uncomfortable and necessary conversations. We looked at ourselves and each other, and witnessed new possibilities in all of us. We healed, and for that, I am so grateful.

You should know that Grandmother is my favourite guest! She cleaned my dirty dishes and made us all next level super food smoothies in the morning. She came to the park with me and pushed my baby on the swing. She laughed about constant fart jokes and shared her crystals with my toddler. She freestyled in the kitchen while making breakfast. What I’m getting at here folks, is Grandmother Kaariina is a precious gem, and we are very blessed to have her and her elder medicine available to us, our communities, and our land.

As a Mama of a two year old and a baby, it’s a whirlwind. Postpartum is FOR REAL. Becoming a Mother is synonymous with being in service, more than, and deeper than you’ve ever been in your entire life. It’s a lot, and it can feel a lot like treading water on our nervous systems. Grandmother stayed for a week with us, and in seven days, I was inspired by her medicine, and I drank it up with so many layers of my being. I feel like myself again. I’m clearer, I’m creative, my psychic vision is stronger and I have my gifts buzzing in my pockets. I’m prioritizing myself more, asking for what I need, taking action to get it, and relaxing to receive. I am changing, so everything has changed; my relationship with my husband, my kids, and myself. By choosing to say yes to hosting Grandmother and supporting her bundle as it travels, my family and I have received so much. Sacred ayni. This is the way of the village.

I want to get real and share some of the thoughts that were running through my mind after Grandmother Kaariina left:

“How can I utilize my gifts and passions to raise the vibration of my family, my community, and the planet?”

“How can I be more efficient with my energy in my home and the world? How can we be gentler on the Earth as a family?”

“I feel so clear in my mind and heart. I feel so empowered. I feel so seen.”

“Wow, I’m amazed at how much both my kids grew while she was here.”

“I def feel like I just did a few nights of Aya..”

“I really need to step up my smoothy and coffee game.”

So let this be an invitation of truth for all of you who have benefitted from Grandmother Kaariina’s medicine: if you see that Grandmother is travelling in your area, reach out. Even if there is fear in your belly. Even if you can find excuses not to. Elders bring up fear, and excuses, and a bunch of other coping mechanisms we have. But they also invoke greater joy, deeper play, conversations that count, and visions and prayers that will give you truthbumps all over. I invite you to extend a hand and a heart out to initiated elders. Open up your spaces for them to share their gifts with the people who surround you. Set them a plate at your table and see it change the very way your family tree nourishes it’s own roots. Build them a fire to warm their drum, and see the eagles return to their nest, and the land exhale. Don’t you see? They need us, and we need them. Let’s come together with easefulness and grace, and unite our resources NOW. Let’s choose New Earth together, to support each other, to collaborate together, to merge our medicines and make some fucking magic! We are the ones we’ve been waiting for!

***

Autumn Rose is a fierce Jaguar Queen, currently enrolled in the Mystery School of Motherhood. She is currently cocooning in her nest, fully dedicated to raising two potent seeds of the New Earth. She is inhaling magick and mundane, and is so excited to exhale the medicine that is remaking her flesh and bones in this season of life. Stay tuned. xx

Blessings love,
Autumn 🙂

Life Weaving Life

By Alex Garver

a lone thread tickles the skin

lost, out of alignment, without purpose.

alone, my heart aches for love

confused, scared, collapsed, and angry.

yet woven in their proper place

many single threads

become a beautiful scarf—

rainbow patterns dancing in the light

warming shoulders through the night.

my heart bonds to others like axons

serotonin and oxytocin

passing notes like 7th graders

creating neural networks

capable of remembering us

limb by limb, wound by wound

like Isis loving Osiris

back to life.

We’re dreaming, you know

the dramatic stakes dissolve

upon awakening

to a more beautiful world our hearts know is possible.

as I long for friends, and they for me

we belong again

the salmon people are restored to their sacred place

amidst the deeper currents of things

and we feel and sing the grief of the trees

intimate once again with earth and water

fire and air

We remember our ancestors

and our origin in the stars.

Today I’m thankful for friends

and Love that cannot fade

Self-Existing Owl Moon :: Grandmother’s Message

Sunrise over the Malahat Inlet, just north of Victoria on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.  And my heart and soul is struck by this all enveloping expression of the self existence of NATURE!  This sky’s capacities for cocreating colours beyond my feeble descriptions holds my being in a state of awe and of reverence!

Coral stretches from the sunrise emergence to my right while neon pink arrives within this.  These solveggios blend into the robins egg blue of vast sky awaiting for its fullest arrival.  All the while to my left, the last sparkling pierce of a morning star reminds my consciousness of what has slowly ended.  Incoming day brings with it the farewell of the night.  Just for this day.

The Inlet’s sea salted waters coagulate into a perfected mirror of these sky expressions.  A dawn dancer’s costumes reflected with total acceptance.  Barely a ripple arrives at the surface of this display.  This lady of the oceans seamlessly partakes of the dawn’s offerings: what a sacred communion!

Now, twenty minutes in manmade time has passed, and yet the dance continues without a chime, a bell to sound something is over!  The lights now fill the horizon across the skies with dark green mountain tops arising in the distance.  Known also to the clouds, streakish grey, these ancient ones protrude from some inexhorable creator known as HER, Great Mother Earth!

An ending of some form called night began so long ago and is now proceeding to its inevitable completion.  With tall standing cedars as witness, I stand with no thought no desire no need to be anywhere with anyone other than here.Sitka spruce, the graceful waving arms of arbutus, more standing ones rough barked and deeply clawed roots into the ancient bedrock, these ones absorb such weather daily phenomenon mutually created in order to coexist.

The shores of these millions of years old waters welcome without need for respite, the newly revelatory rays of sunlight, a repetition of such profound rituals, that my breathe stops to remain in stillness just a while longer.

Ahhh sporadic ripples now arrive at surfaces of these inland Salish Seas announcing some delight in patternmaking.  For my eyes and experiences, it reminds me of thin thin ice floating in the early November days on Batchawana Bay , North Ontario.  What life forms dwell beneath those patterns there and here?  Or within the dark evergreening forests enthralled with nothing but pure existence?

Two weeks of Travelling with the Bundle of Sacred Wheels in Seattle, Washington, and my being returns once more to uninhabited aspects of the wilderness of soul grateful for both the going and the coming back.

There, like some form of tall yellow cedar, I witnessed humans forgetful of this cocreationary force, diving into the Grief Wheel, confused, scared, despairing that no one is caring about such beauty, and angry even raging that we each have forgotten from when we came.

Listening deeply like some ancient rock being, humans struggled with the passage of their times on earth, one Rite of Passage denied and yet another fearlessly awaited surrender.

Inquiries continued; Who am I now? If this is truly over, what is emerging? How will I continue without the infrastructure of my story?  Is emergence from this darknight possible though the light is already guiding my being to another horizon?  AND thus, what will this next moment reveal that I can accept?

We are, my beloveds, on this collective Wheel of Grief, at the sunrise of a new day and way and the calling is very real!  In our bones, a narrative writ long ago genomically, is saying: There is another time line to write together, not alone!  Until we choose to commit to this conscientously, we suffer and create more suffering for others and ignore the relevant beauty of the wild!

And I return celebrating that I have met those who are rising, riding along the great rivers shores, or surfing in the waves of oceans, or drumming up the sides of mountains, those who are authoring a contiinuum of epic poetry that awakens all of humanity to its fuller potentiata!

We are at choice points individually, within families, within our global clans, to say that day has come, the light revealing what needs truly to be done, and the grief of progressive wavelengths is dissipating  The air is fresh here at the Malahat, the inner fires stoked by such inexhorable incredible phenomenal life forms bearing witness to my own awakening, the waters have found their way to the shores extending from beneath my feet, the earth strikes the deepest accords with a rhythm so universal that she cannot be ignored!

On this full mooning in November, we invite you to be within our boundariless loving embrace and shift seasonally into preparation for the winter nights.  We invite the gathering of lessons, realizations, articulations to be shared with those still choosing scarcity or plight!  Awaken these with generosity of warm pancakes and an egg in a cardboard box on a morning street in Seattle WA, knowing that the feeding of one soul feeds the whole of eternity!

JOIN us this season with your writings, musings, offerings, your art and music, the crystal grids that are the earth vases unleashing trauma that needs to breathe and dissolve.

I have walked on Oyster Dome Mountain, sharing the path up and down with two incredibly joyous venturers, Paaush and Uma, without time nor shame nor guilty pushing.  I have celebrated , recalibrated with Danica and shared the nights of memory foamed beds gifted from her Grandmother!  Stunned by the gorgeousness of naked bodies waterfalled in frigid waters, I come home inspired to do the same.  Our evening sojourns on the Wheels, ceremonies of Samhain, the revolutionary moments of one to ones, zikra and the movements of integration, all is now enveloped in the OM of this culture of British Columbia;s supernatural beauty of the wild still preserved, still appreciated, still stood for and by those of us who know!

Without these self existing callings to be strong resilient wise and  wildly in love with risings and fallings away, we are mere robotons willed by some nonorganic form dictated to by those who all have forgotten.

Exist, my beloveds, amongst us here in the refreshing waters, home to the ones who went before, finned ones, salmon moving upstream, black bear beginning to prepare for hibernation, cougar moving deeper into forests, deciduous leaves now fallen like old beliefs that do not serve this seasonal and paradigm shift!

Come home to those inwards places you have forgotten and just exist as being!  Welcome welcome welcome you have never been forgotten or unseen!

The Wisdom is Simple: Conversations with Hampi Warmi Leticia Huanca Guevara

||By Leticia Huanca Guevara and Caroline Putnam ||Translated from Spanish by Caroline Putnam ||Edited by Miku Lenentine

Nature maintains all of the elements in balance.

Nature has all of the medicine we need to heal our bodies and heal our minds.

Nature gives us fresh air.

It gives us all the elements that we need.

It is important for us to connect with the medicine of nature.

In Peru we have clean air, we have wind. Around the world we have all of these elements that keep us in balance. We need to become stewards of the land once more. It is time to start cultivating the plants and return to cultivating our food. It is really important for the young people to know how to steward the planet and continue growing more for abundance, and it start right where they live in their local area with the relationship with plants.

Some of the elders are starting to recognize the impacts that the chemicals are having and they are recognizing the importance of organics and why we need to support them. Grow your own food, make your own medicine, come into relationship with the plant spirits, and if you can’t support those who do this work.

Working with organic foods and knowing the medicine of this area is connected to our own health. When we eat organically, when we can know the medicines of our region, we can then have the right balance to stay in alignment with our organism and stay in balance with nature.

It is also important to begin activating in your community. For example, in our community we have formed a committee of ecological preservation. We have activated in our own community trash pickups, recycling areas, and identified the areas of priority. It is important not just to clean our inner environment but also our external environment. Activate your communities by organizing together and really addressing the issues, not waiting for someone else to do it, do it yourself. Be that pioneer that is activating that inspiration in your community.

If you are living in the city, it is important that you leave and reconnect with nature for at least some of the time. Life and health come from the environment. If you live in a place where you live wall to wall, where there isn’t a lot of green, it is important to come out of that place sometime. It is good to go take visits often and reconnect with nature. In reconnecting with nature, you are reconnecting with your own vitality and health.

The mind also is very powerful. When we work with plant healers and plant medicines just taking the medicine could have some effect, but it is about linking the mind to the medicine as well. To the plant being. If we come into our breath, slowly inhaling and exhaling three times deeply … and pause … and really find our deep center point, we can know that we will be healed before we take the medicine into our bodies; that is the most important part. That knowingness, that connection.

It is the same with the planet, if the planet is in a state of needing healing, it is with our consciousness that it can be healed, not going into the fear and the doubt and the destruction. We are all fractals of each other, and so in cultivating a knowingness around healing, it is a very important to focus on our minds.

We need to stay positive with our hearts and minds. Positivity is one of the best medicines that we can give in our time. It is the best way we can heal ourselves. The metabolism of the planet is released and works through positivity. The function of plant medicine is slower. It is not a magic step. But it is short. Steady and short, and it won’t affect other organs.

Chemical medicine has its benefits, but there is a but, even though it is quick and it effects the outcome quickly it is affecting a different part of the organism. The quick fix isn’t always the way, because even though we are taking it for one thing, it may be impacting or hurting another part of the system. With the plant though, the plants are wholistic. They are not meanwhile draining another part of the system. So, plant medicine is slow and steady.

We can also extend this philosophy to projects and other areas we want to create and do in life… the medicine is slow and steady, and stable and sure, rather than the quick fix that gets it done. Slow and steady and short is the traditional way, this is the way we can approach all things.

[Question:] Is it possible to step out of the urgent state of need for Pachamama right now?

Si! One of the important things we can do in this time is to stop buying things that come with trash. If it doesn’t decompose and go back to the earth than say no. Choose a different option. Our mother is alive. She is a living mother and we need to give thanks to her, not only in the way that we pray and give thanks to her but also in the physical connection. What is our action actually saying if every time we buy organic food we are using plastic? It is creating a disturbance in the energy field. She continues to give us food, and continues to give us water, and plants and ways to heal. We really need awaken a new consciousness, both adults and children. What is it we are giving back? Can we decide to go without the trash and things that are not going to be digested by the earth?

This wisdom is really simple. It is really about deciding how we want to live. How we want to be global citizens, stepping out of the industrial age into the ecological era. How to become one world people, tenders of the mother, living with each breath and each act with the integrated wisdom that all life is sacred.

Each of us has a role to play in this. The plants and the foods give us very specific information, transmissions, and communication of the earth specifically for where we are. Learn these ways. Find someone in your area who knows the plants. Connect with nature. Come into relationship with it. This is our birthright and our sovereignty to do this. Know the herbs in your area. It is your birth right, your heritage and your inheritance to pass that on to the next generation. Weather you have children or just in your neighborhood it is important to pass this on.

Us healing ourselves is also the healing of the planet. The fires in the amazon, the different disasters, natural and unnatural disasters happening around the world are showing us that it is time to check out our long shadows, do the inner work, know the nature around you and support your organic farmers.

Make the choice. The more that we choose it the more it becomes convenient. We have seen it here in a small village, go from two organic farmers to eight organic farmers. We keep seeing the demand rising. Know that your choice really does matter. We can pray and we can make offerings, and we can make ceremonies and those feed the spirit of Pachamama. We need to be tangibly feeding Pachamama, if you are not growing your own food please support your organic farmers and if you are growing your own food please make sure you are doing it organically, and find information about herbs.

When we are in connection with ourselves, with our planet and not getting into the fear, this is the way. Not inundating our brains with news, media, negative messages. Inundate yourself with the positive, the inspiring, amazing information and stories to share. Choose what you are saying on Facebook, choose what you are saying on Instagram and social media outlets, being really conscious of what you are bringing into the world. Stay in positivity. We are putting ourselves in a pressure cooker right now. The shadows are being brought to the surface to be seen, and not to be overlooked. Make the choice. This wisdom is really simple. It is about deciding how we want to live.

Electric Stories of Service :: by Daniel Jubelirer

This September and October in the Jewish calendar we are in the days of awe: a time of renewal, return and reconnection.  The 10 days between Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) and Yom Kippur (the day of atonement and return) are called the Days of Awe because of their immense spiritual power. It is a time to let go, to take stock, to return to our essential nature, to who we really are beneath all our worries, doubts, opinions and social conditioning.

On Yom Kippur we make teshuva, which means “to return.” We name the ways we have missed the mark, and pray to return to a good life where we act in line with who we really are in our hearts. I’ve been thinking a lot about the days of awe in my coaching work. I am a coach for social change leaders, and every day I hear clients discuss their most precious goals, dreams and visions for what their life could be, for the impact they want to make. So often coaching sessions are a form of teshuva: returning to the threads that hold the most meaning, taking action in life based on seeing what matters most and what we’re really capable of, trusting we’re here for a reason. We hear the word “coach” thrown around a lot these days. But what does a professional coach actually do? I was recently certified by the International Coach Federation, the global organization that accredits ethical and professional coaches. They define coaching as, “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”

I love this definition as it emphasises partnering with and maximising personal and professional potential, both of which I value in my work with my clients. Coaching isn’t the same as therapy (where the focus is on healing) or consulting (where the focus is on imparting wisdom and expertise based on experience.) Coaching is partnering with people to help them see for themselves their own answers for what to do in life’s most tricky and challenging moments. It is a partnership, collaborative, and focused on helping people make real the promise of who they are.

I became a coach after engaging in activism and social change work for many years. I saw too many people – myself included – struggling with burnout. I saw people overwhelmed, stressed and confused as they sought to contribute to the world. I started working with a coach myself, and later became trained as a professional coach, to help those who want to help the world do so more effectively with clarity, focus, ease and a tad bit of grace!I would like to pose a question to you. This is a question my mentor Maria asked me a few years ago, and considering it changed my life. She asked, “would it be alright with you if life got easier?” Consider this question for a moment. Don’t answer right away, really look at it: Would it be alright with you if life got easier?

When she first asked me this, I immediately I got defensive and paranoid. My mind chattered at me all the reasons to run away from this question. “Easier?! What is this woman talking about! The work I’m doing is really hard! That’s just the way it is. She just doesn’t understand how hard I work.” I was miffed. How dare she ask me that!

However, I came to see later that much of what made my work hard wasn’t just the way it isit was instead what I was bringing to the party that made it hard: how I was showing up, the mental models I was using to view the world, my ideas and opinions about myself that made me work harder than I needed to.

I learned that life can indeed get easier – not easy, because in physical reality everything takes effort and energy to occurbut easier, a sense of ease even when I was giving a lot. I learned to become clear in my underlying intentions for my life, and how to recognize my limiting patterns more quickly, and set them aside without analyzing myself to death, just shifting my attention back to what was important to me.

I got trained in tools, practices and new ways of helping people construct their view of the world that literally makes things easier. Less wasted time worrying about what will go wrong, less wasted energy trying the same things over and over again that don’t work, not learning or making changes (not that I’ve ever done this myself!! 😉

So I’ll ask again: Would it be alright with you if life got easier?

What outdated ways of seeing yourself, others and the world would you need to give up? What would you need to get clear about? What would need to change in what you were bringing to the party of your life for things to get easier?

I work with community organizers, activists, healers, artists, educators, facilitators, and creative changemakers to help you get clear on your vision and move forward past where you’ve previously stopped yourself, so that things can indeed get easier for you.

With me as your coach, we engage in a process in which you see your greatest stopping points, and learn to move beyond them consistently. This way you become free to focus on your vision, dreams, and goals, rather than your doubts, worries and fears.  My pragmatic approach teaches you how to create lasting shifts in the way you see and do things — long after the high of an “aha” moment wears off.

Coaching is for you if you want to rise above the fog of confusion and overwhelm so you can develop the skills to consistently take action towards your vision, to be a clear beacon for others to follow towards our collective liberation.

If you’re interested in experiencing coaching, I offer a free 50 minute Discovery Session where you can explore your vision for your life and see if coaching is a good fit for you. You can learn more about me and schedule a discovery session here if you are interested: www.danieljubelirer.com

As we come into fall it is time to harvest what we’ve learned from the year. My wish for all of you is that you have the support you need to learn from everything that has happened to you this year, that you might bring fresh energy and new perspectives to what awaits you next.
