The Tree of Life is rooted in oneness, an infinite network of intertwined spirits that originate from the same base, connecting us all to our true nature.
Regardless of opinion, race, gender, political view, religious or spiritual preference, we come from the same, and we will return to the same.
This is the One Tree whose branches we hang from; its fruits are the children we birth to continue the cycle of life. We are human, and this is our shared humanity.
In a time where we are encountering mass separation, natural disasters, climate crises, segregation, isolation, fear, difference of opinion, and harsh reactions to one another’s views, it is imperative to remember the Tree from which we all were fruited.
We have entered a Code Red for Humanity. Generations of human choices — how we’ve mistreated the planet, and each other — have resulted in a space and time when Mother Earth is in deep suffering. We have become a parasitic growth on her body, slowly but steadily feeding off her abundance, in ignorance and greed, without giving back or adopting conscious patterns by which to live.
While many of us choose not to partake in this behaviour, the reality is that many others have. And here we all sit, in the truth of what is transpiring now.
There is still hope, I believe. But it requires — in the same context as the mass destruction we’ve incurred — a mass awakening and shift in our behaviours and attitudes.
Will the next harvest of Her fruit, our children, be the ones to shift the balance and bring this beautiful planet back into harmony and alignment? It is our responsibility to start now. What our children observe, they repeat.
It is time — urgently time — to care for our planet, make changes in how we live to minimize our footprint, and REMEMBER that we are ONE. Segregation and separation are illusions. Fear is not real. With forces attempting to separate us further, there is no time more potent to come to the root of the truth at the base of our One Tree.
By casting out our neighbor for his or her opinion, we give energy to more destruction and more separation. Even if our own stand is based in truth. The only way to make change is to heal the fractures of separation through our own daily choices, our own perspectives and lenses, exhibiting love to repair the rifts that these times have created. We can be accountable for ourselves, and the ripple touches many. We can stand in our truth, in a peaceful but solidly unwavering way, without using hate, anger or judgement.
We are the same. We can live in abundant love and respect for each other and the Earth. But the answer lies in making change NOW. There is no day but today. There is no one but you. And you are a piece of US.
Blessed are the fruits of our children to ripen and make change, blessed is the strength of the trunk of our tree in our conviction, and blessed are the roots that connect us all to the truth of who and what we truly are.
We must come together, not apart. Grandmother says Wake Up, Wake Up, We are Rising to the One. May your branches reach upward and outward, to touch the branches of your brothers and sisters. May your roots sink ever deeper, to access the core of our purpose in being alive at this time on the planet. For all our relations.
About Deena
Deena is a mother, wife, writer, and has been an Iboga provider for the past six years. She experienced her first Iboga ceremony in 2012, during which she awoke from the spell of a 10-year opiate addiction. Soon after, she traveled to Gabon, Africa — the birthplace of Iboga and home to its people, the Bwiti — and has completed a Full Initiation into the medicine wisdom tradition. She is also among the first nine Western women to ever complete a Missoko Bwiti Rites of Passage. Since, Deena and her husband have held space for nearly 1,000 other warrior souls to journey with Iboga. Her sweet son, Atlas Fisher, was born October 3, 2020, his 36-hour labour steeping in the energies of October’s first of two full moons, and under a sky bright with Venus and Mars in visibility. Her sweet little family resides on the Southern Gulf Islands of BC, blessed each day by the Spirit of the Water.
Deena is currently working on her website, www.consciouscontent.co, where she’ll be offering resources and guidance for other women walking the path to truth. To learn when the site goes live, and to be included on her newsletter list, email her at deena@consciouscontent.co
