Conscious Conception – by Deena DiBacco

Before we’re born, we agree to our own birth. We agree to experience a human life on Earth. We agree on the time and place. We agree on the life experiences that will expand and further our soul’s journey. And we agree to choose the parents who will raise us.

The parents who create and birth us into being have everything to do with our journey. And there is “no good/no bad” about it.

When you zoom out, “bad” parents serve their highest purpose because they teach us how not to be. They present traumas that are perfectly aligned with what our soul needs to evolve in this lifetime.

There are no mistakes. When we zoom out and recognize that the soul moves through many lives — each one presenting an opportunity to learn and grow — we know that each piece of each lifetime is placed on a path of divine perfection.

But since 2012, it’s become more and more clear that humans are rapidly waking up. We are courageously healing ourselves and joining forces to help cocreate a New Earth.

In this period of time, a new type of child is being born — born to parents who have shown up and healed the patterns and intergenerational traumas of their own families and ancestors. Parents who have literally ended cycles.

Ending an ancestral cycle is a shit-ton of work. So many of us are called to take our efforts one step further. With our own cycles ended, we have the ability to birth children with a clean slate — giving them an opportunity we did not have — to immediately begin fulfilling unlimited potential.

And so a New Earth has begun, shining through the eyes of each baby born to conscious parents. Children are arriving on Earth free from the grips of toxic patterns and conditioned beliefs, able to achieve their purpose without first having to shed baggage that wasn’t theirs to begin with. (Work that, as we know, can sometimes take half of one’s lifetime).

This is the beauty of conscious conception. That we as parents have chosen to create the most sacred space possible — spiritually, mentally and physically — with the intention of inviting a little soul to join us.

As an Iboga provider who has also worked with many other plant and animal medicines over the past decade, I knew I was ready for a tiny StarSeed to come through. I knew that I could offer a child what I didn’t receive when I was young. And my husband was on the same page.

But we had been struggling to conceive for over three years. I realized that true conscious conception is more than simply spiritual and mental clarity — my physical body was not in line with my intentions, and I knew in my heart that I wasn’t fertile.

My physical body was extremely unwell. After an 8-month healing journey spent separate from my husband, involving plant medicines, acupuncture, hydro-colonic therapy and homeopathic remedies — homeopathics being the main source of healing — I flew to Mexico, reunited with my husband, and was pregnant within a week.

I know my son had been hovering somewhere among the stars, waiting for the right moment to enter my womb. The moment his Mama healed all aspects of her being — mental, spiritual and physical — so that a conscious conception could finally take root.

Finally, as I was lying under a blanket of a million stars against a purple-black Mexican sky, not yet knowing I was pregnant, I saw the brightest star in the sky twinkling at me. I got a message, “I am your star. I have always been with you. You will always find me.”

Months later, my son’s name came through. Atlas. In my mind, I worked over the sound of it, the way the letters played with one another, and I knew there was no other name for him.

About a month after that, a friend sent us a video he’d found on the internet. It detailed a comet that had been sighted earlier that year. (In fact, the first sighting of it from Earth occurred on the Big Island of Hawaii, where I used to live in my 20’s). The sighting had occurred the same time my son was conceived. It described the comet as a bright light in the sky, brighter than all the stars around it.

They named it Comet Atlas.

In ancient civilizations, comets are known to be harbingers of difficult times ahead. Comet Atlas showed up in early 2020, just before the word COVID meant anything to anyone.

My son is strong. Our family walks the path of truth, and the way of truth is the way of love. My son carefully chose this challenging time to enter life on Earth. His conscious conception ignited this deeply important journey.

May he navigate this potent lifetime just as the Atlas of Greek Mythology, holding the weight of the world and the cosmos above his head with a strength unprecedented, unwavering. May he hold it all, all that we’re moving through collectively, by being part of the solution.

I thank him for arriving at the perfect time, for joining his tiny brothers and sisters, who are showing up and being born all around the world, consciously conceived with a shared agreement to reimagine a world held by the True Mother.

And I thank all the medicine parents who have shown up as vessels and guides, consciously seeding these precious ones. May the true fruits of our labours — all of our ceremonies and all of our work — ripen and nourish the souls of our children, and the world they cocreate.

Deena is a mother, wife, writer, and has been an Iboga provider for the past six years. She experienced her first Iboga ceremony in 2012, during which she awoke from the spell of a 10-year opiate addiction. Soon after, she traveled to Gabon, Africa — the birthplace of Iboga and home to its people, the Bwiti — and has completed a Full Initiation into the medicine wisdom tradition. She is also among the first nine Western women to ever complete a Missoko Bwiti Rites of Passage. Since, Deena and her husband have held space for nearly 1,000 other warrior souls to journey with Iboga. Her sweet son, Atlas Fisher, was born October 3, 2020, his 36-hour labour steeping in the energies of October’s first of two full moons, and under a sky bright with Venus and Mars in visibility. Her sweet little family resides on the Southern Gulf Islands of BC, blessed each day by the Spirit of the Water.
Deena is currently working on her website, www.consciouscontent.co, where she’ll be offering resources and guidance for other women walking the path to truth. To learn when the site goes live, and to be included on her newsletter list, email her at deena@consciouscontent.co
